Antje Pfundtner

In the past three years, Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft (APiG) (Antje Pfundtner in Society) has invited guests to seven get-togethers around the table, produced four stage pieces and received two awards: the German Dance Prize and the DER FAUST theatre prize. We look back on a team that is becoming more established and a collaborative structure with other creative artists that is increasingly being implemented. We will be celebrating a 20th anniversary in the autumn of 2021 – how do things move forward from here? Why do you need others? In this initial phase of TANZPAKT funding, we’ve dedicated ourselves in our projects to the discourse on sharing and redistribution. In three further get-togethers as well as two stage pieces, we’d now like to move into an expanded implementation of our idealistic, presentational and cultural-political research questions: how do you share ideas? How do you share money? Which responsibilities and obligations draw shared interests towards them? Which structures are needed if we, as initiators of collaboration, are interested in the structures of other creative artists – in short: how do you practise synergies? Through our get-togethers and pieces, we have sought and found discursive and artistic dialogue with accomplices. We have formed interest groups and practised communication, and we have come to the conclusion that APiG will now be focusing on sustainable forms of co-operation in order to make fusions the basis of our work and allow artistic output to emerge from a polyphonic resonance body.
