TANZPAKT Stuttgart is an alliance of Akademie Schloss Solitude, Freie Tanz- und Theaterszene Stuttgart, Musik der Jahrhunderte, Produktionszentrum Tanz und Performance, Theater Rampe and the Cultural Office of the State Capital Stuttgart. The aim is to establish sustainable structures for international exchange and to strengthen the extended network for the interdisciplinary work of Stuttgart's dance actors.
Structural development measures will strengthen the local independent dance and performance scene; this will enable Freie Tanz- und Theaterszene Stuttgart gUG and Produktionszentrum Tanz und Performance e. V. to work specifically on the quality of networking and further education of Stuttgart's independent dance scene. In addition, together with the alliance partners, residencies and symposia create supra-regional platforms that enable open-ended work and professional exchange. With other cooperation partners such as KUBI-S, the Netzwerk Kulturelle Bildung Stuttgart, and the Junges Ensemble Stuttgart, dance education offers, participatory mediation formats and dance productions for children and young people are being sought.
The cooperatively curated festival DIE IRRITIERTE STADT was the visible highlight of TANZPAKT Stuttgart for Stuttgart's urban society and took place throughout the city between 21 and 26 July. Dancers, choirs and all citizens were invited to participate in the city-wide festival of the arts. THE IRRITATED CITY brought the contemporary performative arts of dance, theatre and music as well as literature, film and visual arts into exchange and made them accessible to a broad diverse audience through participatory projects throughout the city. The focus was on the relationship between movement and public space. In the process, the arts entered into a dialogue with the urban society, went out into the urban space and developed perspectives for living together in the city.
